A Vincennes man will serve the rest of a reckless homicide sentence in prison, following a hearing this week in Knox Circuit Court.
20 year-old George Smith was sentenced to work release on April 30th, 2024. He had earlier admitted to the shooting that left 18 year-old Hunter Ravellette dead. In a hearing, the Knox County Prosecutor’s office claimed Smith had violated both work-release and probation rules. The prosecution introduced video and witness evidence to prove its claim.
Judge Monica Gilmore agreed with the prosecution, and ordered Smith to serve the remainder of his sentence in state prison.
