If you get your power from CenterPoint in southwestern Indiana, there’s a program that could trim your electric bill and ease pressure on the grid.
Sign-ups are open now for the 2026 Smart Cycle season, which starts in March.Smart Cycle is voluntary.
If you join, the program uses a smart thermostat to adjust your home’s temperature by up to four degrees when electricity use is high, usually during the hottest days of summer.
You can change the temperature back at any time using your thermostat or phone app. CenterPoint is the electric provider for many in the Eansville area, including in many parts of Gibson County.
