The Indiana Department of Transportation says that $179.8 million in federal transportation funding is being awarded to 50 cities, towns, and counties in rural portions of Indiana to invest in local road and bridge improvements and sidewalk projects.
Three projects are being funded in Daviess County:
Two million 728-thousand dollars will be used for a Local Bridge Project on County Road East 975 North over North Fork Prairie Creek; $607,569 for a Local Safety Project on County Road North 1200 East over the South Causeway of West Boggs Lake; and $425,121 for a Local Safety Project on County Road 1200 East over the North Causeway of West Boggs Lake.
