Michelle Smith to Become New Knox County Chamber Director March First

Michelle Smith will become the new Director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce. Smith will start her new job on March first, replacing Jamie Neal. Neal earlier announced her intention to step down from the position, after many years of positive leadership of the Chamber.
Smith moves to the spot after serving as director of the Knox County Solid Waste Recycling District for the last ten years. She also served previously as director of the Vincennes Education Foundation.
She was selected by the Knox County Chamber Board of Directors to take the position. Chamber members praised her management skills, leadership, and understanding of local business issues as reasons to name her to the Director’s position.
