Kiara Joy Schuckert-Jones, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Vincennes, Indiana, at the age of 39. Born on March 10, 1986, in Massillon, Ohio, Kiara’s loving spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Kiara is survived by her children, Skyla Lopez, Alyssa Lopez, Samuel Lopez, Eden Jones, and Javon Jones. Additionally, Kiara is survived by her mother, Heidi “Bowers” Young, who feels the profound loss of such an incredible person. Kiara’s presence will also be greatly missed by her brothers, Trey Proctor of Gainesville, FL, and Adam Wasdin of Arizona, and her sister, Kayla Schuckert-Hernandez (Manuel) of Vincennes, IN, with whom she shared a special bond not just as a sister, but also as her closest friend.
Kiara was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Young, whose memories she cherished with deep affection. Her stepfather, Mark Mathis, her paternal grandfather, Johnny McCray, and her maternal grandfather, Ronald Bowers, also predeceased her, all of whom will be greatly missed.
After attending high school, Kiara went on to bring her joy to the customers she encountered as a cashier at Dollar Tree. Her work was not just a job, but an opportunity to spread light and happiness to those within her community.
Kiara’s passions extended beyond her workplace. Her creative spark shone brightly when she indulged in doing hair and makeup, a talent and pleasure that she shared generously. Kiara’s sense of style was a true expression of her personality, evident in her love for putting on clothes and shopping, always embracing life with enthusiasm and flair.
Though she has left us much too soon, the memories of Kiara’s loving nature and passion for life will endure. Her laughter, her smiles, and her spirit are etched in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. Kiara Joy Schuckert-Jones will be dearly remembered and forever celebrated. Her life will remain an inspiration for all to love deeply, laugh often, and cherish family always.
