Drayven Alias Tate passed away at the tender age of 7, on February 1, 2026, in Vincennes, IN. Born on September 22, 2018, in Newburgh, IN, to Joseph Edward Schlumpf Jr. and MiKayla Marie Tate, Drayven’s vibrant spirit and smile brightened the lives of all who knew him.
From a young age, Drayven’s personality shown through in everything he did. He found immense joy in the simplest of pleasures, teaching all those around him to cherish every moment. He had many troubles in his life, however he was such a strong boy and fought through. His family refers to him as their hero.
Drayven’s loving legacy will be carried on by his parents, his cherished sister, Nylah Marie Schlumpf of Vincennes, IN, father’s long term girlfriend, Felicia Marie Crawley of Evansville, IN, his maternal grandfather, Kent Eugene Tate of Fairview, TN, and other grandparent, James Wesley Shade (maternal grandmother Jaimie’s partner) of Vincennes, IN, and his paternal grandparents, Joseph Edward Schlumpf Sr. and Christy Michelle Wright, both of Evansville, IN. His aunts, Denay Diamond Stephens (Aaron) of Johnsonville, IL, Allysa Marie Schlumpf, Chelsey Nicole Schlumpf, Alexis Joyce Schlumpf, and Cierah Marie Schlumpf, all of Evansville, IN, as well as his uncles Forrest Tyler Tate (and his fiancé Alicia Marie Vieke) of Evansville, IN, and Cody James Girten of Newburgh, IN, will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives.
He now joins his maternal grandmother, Jaimie Lea (Klusmeier) Tate-Shade, in eternal rest. Though his time with us was too brief, Drayven’s impact on our world was profound. The twinkling of his eyes, the innocence of his laugh, and the pureness of his unconditional love have left undescribable marks on the souls of those who knew him. His family will forever hold him dear, as will all who had the privilege of loving this exceptional young boy.
