Knox County Basketball Recap for Monday

The North Knox Lady Warriors let a halftime lead slip away, as they lose to Gibson Southern 59-50. Lexi Primus led the Lady Warriors with 17. North Knox is back at it Friday night in Game 2 of the Eastern Greene Sectional, as they face the winner of tonight’s South Knox-Sullivan game. Tip time for that one is around 7:30; you can hear that game on 105.7, WUZR.
The South Knox 8th grade boys move on in the Blue Chip Conference tournament by defeating Shoals 44-19. Tyler Mikiska had 16 for the Spartans, while arrex Wall scored 15. The North Knox 8th grade lost for the second time of the year, as Barr-Reeve eliminated them from the tournament 28-27.
In girls’ middle school basketball:
The Clark 7th grade went 1-1 in the Big Four tournament at Castle. The Lady Alices defeated Jasper 42-16, before losing to St. John’s 36=30. Emersyn Hess had 34 in the two games for Clark.
The Clark 8th grade lost 31-30 to Southridge. Mauriana Moore led with 16.
The Clark 6th grade defeated Sullivan 32-17. Hallie Turner led with14. In the 6-B game, Clark lost to Sullivan 20-17; Hadley Salters had 8 in that game.
