Hoosiers are a step closer to deciding in November if they want to allow judges to deny bail for some defendants.
Last week the Indiana Senate voted 43 to two to send the bill to the House.
If the House agrees, the ballot proposal will be before voters this fall.
Critics warn it could open the door to bias and abuse in courts before someone is convicted.
