The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is still offering to register storm shelters in the county. That registration will make it easier for fire departments to locate individuals following a major storm. Several residents expressed intentions to build shelters following the devastating tornadoes that hit that area last May.
The registration would be linked to their address and would be shared with local fire departments. Registration can be completed by contacting the Greene County 911 Coordinator, John Sherer at 812-384-4411 and answering a few questions.
