Forecaster Ryan Martinfeels the weather in the next few months will be well above normal. He also feels that could lead some farmers to gamble on a possible early spring planting window.
A good planting rule of thumb is for soil temperatures to consistently be at or above 55 degrees. That temperature level ensures proper seed germination for the best results in the growing season.
