Indiana’s congressional delegation is split following the U.S. capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro during a military strike targeting a suspected narco-terrorism conspiracy.
On Saturday, Republicans, including Senator Jim Banks and Governor Mike Braun, praised the move as a necessary step to stop the flow of drugs into Indiana and protect American interests.
Meanwhile, Democrats like Representative Andre Carson are condemning the mission as an “abuse of power,” arguing the White House bypassed Congress by taking military action without its approval.
