“Dine and Dash’ Homeless Man Arrested in Gibson County

   A homeless man is facing charges in connection with dine and dash incidents in Gibson County.
      The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Derek Scott Jones is accused of ordering food at Denny’s Restaurant near Oakland City Saturday and leaving without paying.
      Employees at Lupe’s and Applebee’s in Princeton identified Jones as the same person involved in dine and dash incidents the day before.
      Jones is charged with two counts of theft.
      The sheriff’s office says Jones has an extensive criminal history and currently has nine non-extraditable warrants out of Illinois.
