The relatively warmer conditions we have seen in this area are expected to turn into a winter freeze this weekend. Temperatures could drop into the single digits from Saturday night into Sunday. National Weather Service forecaster Jason Puma expects this hit of cold area to linger for a while as well. The colder air mass for next week could be ushered in by at least a bit of snow. However, Puma doesn’t expect much of it with this system.
In this area, one to three inches of snow are possible with the system. However, with temperatures near freezing, any uptick in temperatures could mean rain instead of snow.
