Christmas came early for a group of students from PACE Community Action Agency, with the annual Vincennes “Shop with a Cop.” The annual shopping event happened yesterday at the Vincennes Wal-Mart.
Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand was among those police involved in the day of shopping. He tells us he, and the other adult participants, get the kids what they need—and want. Hillenbrand also shares the warmth of the day when the kids see the officers helping them find the items.
This year, each child got around 250 dollars of various items to help them celebrate the Christmas season.
