William Eugene Beamon, a lifelong resident of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 78, in his hometown. Known for his skilled hands and loving heart, William was born on February 12, 1947, and dedicated his life to his family, his country, and to serving others.
After graduating from high school, William honorably served in the United States Army, where he developed a profound sense of duty and a deep love for his country. Upon returning to civilian life, he put his talents to work at Beamon’s Fiberglass, where his meticulous craftsmanship with fiberglass was highly regarded. William was not just an employee but a hard worker and a friendly face, regarded by colleagues as a teacher and mentor.
Outside of work, William was an avid fisherman and hunter, pursuits that mirrored his patient, observant nature. He also had a remarkable ability to build and tinker with just about anything, earning him the affectionate title of a jack of many trades among friends and family.
William’s legacy is richest when seen through the lives of his loved ones. He is survived by his children, Michael Eugene Beamon and Melanie Beamon, both of Vincennes, IN. His life is further celebrated by his three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought incredible joy and laughter to his later years. William’s siblings, Delores Deyoe and Anita Shelton (Dennis) of Decker, IN, and Robert Dent (Ruth Ann), will remember him as a devoted brother who always kept his family close to his heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Beamon, who instilled in him the values of integrity and perseverance that guided him throughout his life.
William’s story is not just one of his achievements, but equally of generosity, companionship, and love. He leaves behind a community that was bettered by his presence, a family fortified by his wisdom, and memories that will remain cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. William Eugene Beamon will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the lives he touched.
