Linda Kay Long, aged 85, passed away on November 10, 2025, in Vincennes, Indiana. Born on February 20, 1940, to Marvel and Margaret “Grange” Elliott.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Jerald Long, to whom she was happily married on June 24, 1961, in Bruceville, Indiana. Together, they built a life full of warmth and unwavering support for each other until Jerald’s passing. Linda was a dedicated homemaker, a role she took great pride in, nurturing her family with unconditional love and care.
Linda’s legacy of love is carried on by her cherished children, Aaron Long (Kim) and Marlin Long. Her spirit will also be deeply missed by her adoring grandchildren, Ryan Long, Travis Long (Mathew), Blake Long, Brandon Phillips (Holly) and one great-granddaughter, Hope Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Long; her parents; her sister, Vicki Elliot; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Long. Each of them held a special place in Linda’s heart, and her reunion with them brings solace to those she left behind.
Linda was a 1958 graduate of Bruceville High School, and was a member of the Bruceville Christian Church
We bid a loving farewell to Linda Kay Long, whose presence will forever be missed but whose memory will continue to inspire joy, love, and kindness in all of us.
