Dorothy Lee “Robertson” Brock, aged 89, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Odon, IN. Born on May 11, 1936, in Sullivan County, Indiana, to Noble Donaldson and Eva May “Bedwell” Robertson, Dorothy lived a life marked by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering faith.
Dorothy’s early life in Sullivan County set the stage for a lifetime of education and hard work. After graduating from Duggar Union High School, she devoted many of her years as a loving homemaker, a talented cake decorator, and as a meticulous secretary and bookkeeper for Bicknell United Methodist Church. Later in life, she earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Vincennes University.
On October 23, 1955, Dorothy married the love of her life, Kenneth Brock, and together they built not only a family but also a legacy of love and kindness that would touch all who knew them. Dorothy’s loving nature extended to her children, Penny Robb (Philip), Michael Brock (Nancy), and Steven Brock (Monica), her nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, who stood as a testament to her generous and loving spirit.
Her sisters-in-law, Nelda Thomas (Warren), and Carolyn Robertson, will miss Dorothy’s warmth and companionship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brock, her son Donald J. Brock, her brother Earl Robertson, and her parents, whose memories she cherished till her last breath.
Dorothy was a fixture of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, embodying the very essence of the community spirit that helped knit together the fabric of the congregation. Her deep faith was evident in the friendship and grace with which she approached every aspect of her life.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Dorothy will remember her for her friendly conversation and ever-present smile. She was a pillar of love and kindness, always placing the needs of others before her own. Even in the little things, Dorothy shone brightly; from the joy she brought to her community to the serene moments spent among her beloved family.
As we say goodbye to Dorothy Lee Brock, we celebrate a life lived fully and with remarkable affection.
