The Sycamore Land Trust has completed construction on two new wetlands in Monroe County, restoring vital habitat along Beanblossom Creek. The new wetlands at Oliver Preserve and the Sam Shine Foundation Preserve will help filter water, store floodwaters, and create breeding habitat for wildlife The Land Trust planted over 12,500 native trees and thousands of native plant plugs to stabilize the soil and boost the ecosystem.
