Area Head Start classes could be affected by the ongoing government shutdown. That word from officials with the Vincennes-based PACE Community Action Agency.
PACE Head Start is one of 134 programs nationwide with a November first grant start date. If the impasse isn’t solved by then, one of their options could be a temporary closure due to lack of funds. However, local PACE officials pledge to do whatever they can to ensure the program can continue serving those in need.
The PACE Head Start program serves eligible preschool students in Knox, Daviess, Greene, and Sullivan counties.
