An early-year 2026 work schedule is possible on Vincennes’Washington Avenue Phase Two. The work will affect traffic on Washington Avenue from Emison Street up to—and including—the intersection with Saint Clair Street.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says work on that project is going on now—though it is mostly unseen. Mayor Yochum warns everyone closures could start as early as January of next year—depending on weather.
A big part of the work will be setting up alternative ways for those in the affected area to get to their homes or businesses. The problem is enhances, due to much more residential and small business interests in that area, than there was on Washington Avenue Phase One.
