Game Highlights
In a 5-3 loss eerily similar to last night, Randy Arozarena and Josh Naylor powered the Mariners past Mathew Liberatore with 2 towering HR and 5 RBI between them. Five Mariner relievers shut the Cardinal line up down after a marginally effective Kirby gave way.

- Contreras rejoins team tonight.
- Another beautiful sunny day in Seattle.

The Game Details
After an uneventful first inning the Cardinals break through for two in the second. Gorman doubled in Contreras, Sags singled in Gorman.
In the third, in an ironic twist, Arozarena dunks on Liberatore with a 3-run HR that required ATC clearance to land. Aroz was not shy about celebrating his moon shot.
The Cardinals claw a run back in the fourth when Fermin bangs one literally off third base, beating the throw and winning the challenge following. Tied game 3-3.
Naylor quickly untied the game in the bottom with another HR launch that rivaled Aroz. The man himself then added a SacFly to emphasize the point. 5-3 Mariners.Ferguson relieved Kirby and Leahy relieved Libby in the fifth. Itβs a bullpen game now. A long chain of relievers left the game unchanged after the fourth. Final score: Mariners win 5-3.
Post-Game Notes
- I was confused. In the fourth with Scott batting, he struck out on a pitch in the dirt. He ran to first, but was called out because first was occupied with less than two out. But they made the runners go back to first and third. The ball should have been live and runners allowed to advance, in my mind. What did I miss ?
