Christopher Joseph Cabello, aged 63, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on September 2, 2025. Born on January 19, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Joseph and Zoraida “Perez” Cabello, who preceded him in death.
Upon graduating from Eastern District High School in 1981, Christopher embraced a life of service by joining the Army, where he served with the 82nd Airborne as a combat medic. He was defined not only by his bravery and commitment to country but also by the immense love he had for his family.
Christopher married the love of his life, Florinda “Jean” Cabello, on October 23, 2004, in Baltimore, Maryland. This union was blessed with three sons, Robert Thomas, Jared, and Logan Cabello, and a daughter, Shelby Cabello, all of Vincennes, IN, who, alongside his cherished wife, survive him. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren, who will remember their grandfather for his spirited nature and kind heart. Also left to honor his memory are his sisters, Cindy Dietrich (John), Cathy Durban, and his brothers, Joseph and Anthony Cabello.
He cultivated a life enriched by his interests. Christopher was particularly passionate about guitars, and his talent for drawing often showcased his love for history, with a notable interest in government history and President Trump. A dedicated Catholic, he found peace and community at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD, and later attended Old Cathedral Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN.
Those who knew Christopher will fondly remember him as a loving and devoted husband and father who put his family before everything. His kindness touched all corners of his life, from his career in food service to his daily interactions. Everyone who met him experienced his spirited personality, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished by friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Christopher Joseph Cabello’s journey on earth may have ended, but his story will continue to inspire for generations.
