The Lawrence County Illinois Board has approved an updated hazard mitigation plan. The updated plan ensures the County is eligible for federal disaster assistance in planning for, and responding to, various disasters.
The Board also approved the purchase of an existing communications antenna at the County Emergency Management Agency building. The County purchased the tower for 75-thousand dollars, after learning the equipment is owned by a company out of Texas. Both of the motions were approved unanimously.
