The Next Generation of Wasserburg, Germany Students Come to Vincennes

Two members of the next generation of sister city students from Wasserburg Germany came to the Vincennes City Council session last night at City Hall. Both Maline Sommer and Melissa Hartzog received honorary citizenship at last night’s session.
The two girls follow in the trail of parents who came to Vincennes 28 years ago, in the late 1990’s, under then-Mayor Howard Hatcher. Various Wasserburg student groups have come in the nearly three decades since. Wasserburg is one of two European sister cities for Vincennes, with the other being the City’s namesake Paris suburb of Vincennes, France.
