The Vincennes Board of Works has officially wrapped up the paperwork for Washington Avenue Phase One at yesterday’s session. The formal final step for the project was presented by Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague.
The approval comes as City officials are still laying the groundwork for Washington Avenue Phase Two. Phase Two will pick up where Phase One ended, at Washington Avenue and Emison Street. It will improve the street from Emison southward to, and including, Washington’s intersection with Saint Clair.
That work is still in the planning stages at this time. The traffic restrictions are expected to be similar to the recently-completed work on Washington Avenue from Belle Crossing to Emison.
