Road and curb work in downtown Vincennes is nearly complete. For the last couple of weeks, workers have been improving roads and curbs in the Main Street area from First to Sixth Streets.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum believes one positive impact is wider parking spaces near Patrick Henry Square. City officials know the improvements were a hardship to both merchants and customers alike. Mayor Yochum is glad for the patience and fortitude of both merchants and their patrons.
The work on Main Street is part of a sweeping set of infrastructure improvements across Vincennes this spring and summer.
