The Rivet Patriots overcame a 1-0 deficit to defeat the South Knox Spartans 3-1 at Saint Vincent Field.
Brody Shots outdueled Maverick Benjamin in a game where both pitchers went the distance. Shots gave up five hits, while Benjamin surrendered four. Shots struck out eight in the gam, while Benjamin struck out five and walked one.
Jayden Thacker led Rivet with two hits, while while the Spartans had five hitters with one apiece.
In tennis, South Knox moves to 15-2 with a four-one win over Reitz. Grace Arnold and Reagan Harrington won in singles competition, with Carline Beard and Grace Carie, and Elaina Watjen and Emily Dreiman winning in doubles.
The Rivet Patriots golf team took a 162 to 176 victory over Evansville Christian yesterday. Rivet’s Sawyer Primus with medalist with a 38.
