The Vincennes Lincoln Alices fell to the Princeton Tigers at Gil Hodges Field in Princeton yesterday 1-0. The game was scoreless before Princeton scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Paxton Smith pitched six and two-thirds innings, giving up one run on five hits, while striking out seven hits. LHS was checked on three hits. The loss sends the Alices to 13-5 on the year.
The Alices will get back to work this evening with a 6 pm conference game against Evansville Memorial. You can hear that game on 92.1 WZDM, and streaming at wzdm.com.
The North Knox Warriors lost in five innings at Northeast Dublis. Warriors were checked on two hits—one each by Carter Becher and Braxton Yenne.
The Vincennes Lady Alice sfotballers moved to 9-7 on the year with a 7-3 victory over Bloomfield. Emma Cunningham hit and grand slam homer in the fifth inning, while Mia Hagood added a two run blast in the fifth, to account for six of the seven Lady Alices runs. Bradie Turpin got the win for the Lady Alices on the mound. LHS is back at home tomorrow night as theiy face Castle; you can see that one live streaming at wzdm.com.
