The Knox County Commissioners have agreed to a move to take the coming AgroRenew plant, and make it a tax-increment finaincing, or TIF, area. The Commissioners approval follows the recommendation of the Knox County Redevelopment Commission.
The AgroRenew plant will be located at the U-S 41 Industrial Park. Brian Southern is the owner and head of the AgroRenew plant; he announces that the plant will be built all at once, instead of in the originally-planned three phases.
Southern also knows a few more steps are needed for the planning process, before they can schedule a groundbreaking for the new facility. At this point, groundbreaking is set for next month.
