Several area groups are joining Vincennes Community Schools in setting up at early childhood education center. The center will be located on the property of the Vincennes YMCA on College Avenue.
One group taking the lead on the project is the United Way of Knox County. U-W-K-C director Mark Hill says the education focus on kids as young as three is needed. Hill also believes the center will help working parents with child care, while the children prepare for school.
The early childcare education program is scheduled to open up in August.
