The Vincennes Redevelopment Commission agreed to donate ten-thousand dollars to the Vincennes Tree Board for its tree planting and removal work. The funding will be used to plant and remove trees inside the city’s tax-increment financing zone.
Vincennes Tree Board member Dennis Kordes says they are doing the work, despite some tree-related obstacles. Kordes also knows people with interests in the TIF zone know about the value of trees in their areas.
Tree Board members will continue their efforts to both plant new trees for dead or dying ones, and to fight against various invasive species on City rights-of-way.
