A strong thunderstorm in the Vincennes area last night left some power outages in its wake.
At least 1,300 locatiosn were without power as of early morning from last night’s strong weather system. The biggest outages were north of Washington Avenue to just north of State Road 67, and near Hart and Upper 11th streets eastward to State Road 61 just southeast of Tower Road. Finally, around 40 residences in the Fritchton area were also without power earlier today.
WIN Energy also reported around 120 people without power in an area in wstern PIke and eastern Gibson Counties. The affected area is just northeast of Oaktand City.
Service is expected to be returned to those without power as soon as possible
