The Vincennes Animal Shelter is at full capacity on dogs at their location on River Road. A good number of dogs have come from stray dog captures in county areas outside of Vincennes.  Vincennes Animal Shelter director Leah Raigen says county dogs are taking up a lot of room at this time; in response, City officials have approved another full time worker for the Animal Shelter.
Knox County officials pay 250 dollars per dog to the City’s animal shelter.  That money is what helped fund the new full-time worker at the Animal Shelter.
