The Knox County Commissioners have given 50-thousand dollars in federal ARPA funding for a repurposing project at the Vincennes YMCA. The funding will go toward remaking the former dedicated gymnastics room into a multi-purpose area.
YMCA chief executive officer Dennis Kordes lays out a major technological change to the second floor of the facility, along with a multi-purpose usage for the main floor.
Kordes’ appearance before the Commissioners continued an earlier request by the Vincennes YMCA for the federal funding.
