The Vincennes Community School Board has approved some changes to the handbook for students at Lincoln High School.
The new policies include making final exams mandatory for all students.  The only excuse for missing finals is a medical emergency.  Any student missing a final will get a zero score for 10 percent of their final grade.
Also, the high school handbook adds “intimidation” as a violation to the Code of Conduct.  It also changes the Code of Conduct to include drug or alcohol use of many types of illegal substances– including look-alike synthetic drugs.  Finally, the new handbook clarifies the use of alternative to suspension penalties.  The new Board approved the new handbook language unanimously.
