Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes will hold a grand opening next week for its new Specialty Pharmacy, serving residents in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. tomorrow at 305 South 5th Street. After that, an open house will happen from 10:00 A.M. to Noon. The building is the former Knox County Health Department headquarters.
The hospital says specialty pharmacies provide medications that may be costly and have limited distribution or require specialized monitoring or patient education. Area patients have been forced to obtain specialty medications from distant pharmacies which causes inconvenience and delays
