Last week’s eclipse brought a good, but not overwhelming, crowd to Knox County. Rough figures estimate around 30-thousand extra people came to Knox County for the April 8th national phenomenon.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says many of those who did come to the city were impressed enough to praise it.
However, the crowd brought up a continuing question about a need for more guest lodging in Vincennes. City officials assure a study is underway toward adding more hotel space to accommodate arrivals– especially for the City’s larger events.
