With the move of inmates to the new addition to the Knox County Jail, renovation work is happening to the old cells.  Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin gives a surprisingly efficient work force to help with the process– inmates known as “trustys.”
The new Jail expansion is one part of the overall work on the Jail campus. The other is a separate building to house those in the Knox County Community Corrections work-release program.
