CCMG Funding Out; Knox County Gets Maximum Funding

As we reported earlier, Knox County was funded the entire 1.5 million dollar amount for its road projects. That funding through the state’s Community Crossings Matching Grant; the money totals was announced at a session this morning in the Clay County city of Brazil.
Along with Knox County, Sullivan and Gibson Counties also got the maximum million-five, with Pike County getting very near that amount.  Martin County wsa granted nearly a million dollars.
The largest community grant was Linton; that city got 300-thousand dollars in grant funds.  Shoals was next, with nearly 258-thousand dollars.  Other amounts were nearly 225-thousand dollars for Washington; 100-thousand dollars plus for Patoka; and over 61 thousand dollars for Winslow.
The next round of Community Crossings Matching Grants will be awarded later this year.
