Daviess County development officials hope a new housing area just east of I-69 will be a boost for area housing stock. The 11-acre development is being proposed by Jasper-based Kerstiens Development, Incorporated.
The area would contain single-family homes, condominiums, and market-rate apartments. The single family homes would range between $225,000 and $275,000. At this time though, no specific plans have been presented on the homes themselves.
The Kersteins plan follows a similar, $14.5 million proposal from Simplified Developments. The Simplified Developments plan would place 140 new apartment units on Washington’s east side.
