Season Starts Tonight for North Knox, South Knox Boys

Two Knox County boys’ teams will begin their seasons tonight, as part of the traditional Thanksgiving Eve opening night.

The North Knox Warriors will start their season at WRV tonight.  Tip time is 7:30; you can hear the game on 92.1, WZDM.  (It is also on 93.3, WQTY tonight.)

 

The South Knox Spartans will play Sullivan this evening at home.  Tip time at Verne is 7:30 as well; you can hear that one on 105.7, WUZR.  Rivet’s boys will start their season on Saturday night, with Vincennes Lincoln set to start its season next month.

The Clark Middle School 7th and 8th grade girls were defeated by Jasper last night.  The 8th grade lost 28-10; Grace Archer and Mackenzie Doerner had five apiece.  The 7th grade was defeated 23-20; Alivia Eaton led C-M-S in the 7th grade game with ten.

The South Knox 7th grade boys’ team defeated Linton 33-30.  Alex Harting banked in a 3 pointer to win it for the Spartans at the buzzer.  Tucker Mahan led with nine, while Harting and Tate Staggs added seven each.

 

The North Knox Lady Warriors split with Bloomfield.  The 8th grade defeated the Lady Cardinals 49-6.  Baylee McClure had 16, w hile Jade Richter added 15.  The 7th grade were defeated 22-17.  Roselyn Armes had a double double, with 15 points and 10 boards.

 

(VU loses to Triton)

Vincennes University lost to the Triton Trojans in the Lake Land Invitational in Mattoon, Illinois.

Shilo Jackson led the Blazers with 20 points and 13 rebounds. James Biel added 10 points.
