Vincennes Lincoln freshman team defeated both Southridge and Barr-Reeve at home last night. LHS frosh defeated Southridge in two, 25-19 and 25-12, and Barr-Reeve in three, 15-25. 25-14, and 15-12. They are now 4-8 on the year.
South Knox volleyball team lost to Shakamak on the road, 25-19, 27-29, 21-25, and 23-25. The Spartan JV won in two games, 25-14 and 25-17.
The South Knox Varsity golf team finished second in a four-team match at Sullivan. Rivet won the match with a 171, followed by the Lady Spartans at 193. Sullivan was third with a 227, and Eastern Greene had a 235.
The Lincoln High School tennis team lost to Bloomfield 4-1. The doubles team of Kyle Stenger and Landon Alstadt was the lone winner for LHS.
Lincoln High School defeated North Knox, 5-0. Three first half goals led the Lady Alices on to the victory.
LHS lost at Evansville Central 35-12, to fall to 2-2. Two touchdown passes from Zach Steffey were the Alices highlight of the night—one a 33 yarder to Ty McNeece, and the other a 25 yard scoring pass to Jayden Easley.
In Junior High action yesterday:
South Knox boys’ soccer team defeated North Knox, 11-0. Six different players scored for the Spartans in the win.
North Knox Junior High boys cross country team defeated White River Valley, 26-30. The Warriors took four of the top five to get the win. The North Knox junior high girls’ team took the top seven places to defeat WRV, who did not have enough runners for a team score.
North Knox and South Knox junior high volleyball teams split in action last night. The Warriors took the 8th grade match 25-23 and 25-15, while the South Knox 7th grade won their match in two, 25-20 and 25-24.
