A health advisory has been issued for anyone who ate at Washington’s New White Steamer from May 12th to May 15th. An employee of the downtown Washington restaurant has been diagnosed with Hepatitis ”A.”
The infected workers handled food at the location during those four days. Anyone who ate or drank anything at the White Steamer is encouraged to get a hepatitis “A” shot sometime in the next two weeks.
The vaccines are available through a clinic at the Washington National Guard Armory location. The free clinic will be open from nine to three on Wednesday, May 27th.
Those coming to the hepatitis A clinic must stay in their car for the proper paperwork. Also, a mask will be required upon entry to the Armory. Also, anyone who ate at the White Steamer from April first to May 15th should monitor their health, wash their hands thoroughly before handling food, and contact their doctor in case any Hepatitis A symptoms develop.
