Progress continues on the renovations at Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary. The Old Sacred Heart Building is substantially complete and work on the 1906 building and the new construction will be complete in time for handover to the Vincennes School Board on June 15th. The Vincennes Community School Board approved just over $360 Thousand Dollars for all new furniture for the school. The furniture money will come from the corporation’s Rainy Day Fund. The School Board also approved over $5 Million Dollars for the Vigo Elementary refurbishing set to start this May. Wolfe Construction will do the General Trades work, Tri-State Fire Protection of Evansville got the fire protection contract, and Weyer Electric will do the electrical work. The Mechanical bid was tabled since there was just one bidder.
