Vincennes Board of Works Approves Homecoming Parade Route

The Vincennes Board of Works has approved various street closures for the coming Homecoming Parade on September 29th. The parade with take its traditional route, using Hart Street, Fifth Street, Main Street, and Second Street. The parade will finish up near the Old State Bank building at Second and Busseron. The street closures will be the same as they were last year.
In other business, the Board approved the use of Main Street in downtown Vincennes for Autumn on Main Street. The event is planned for October sixth on Main Street between First and Sixth Streets. Board members also approved two banner requests– one for the annual Grouseland Walnut Grove Festival, and the other for the St. John Lutheran Church Art and Craft Fair.
Finally, the Board approved a bucket brigade for “Hope for the Warriors.” The fund-raiser is sponosred by Casey’s General Store in Vincennes.
